Dr. Riya Seal (PhD)
President, Help & Protection Organization | Social Activist | Inspiration Award Winner 2025
Dr. Riya Seal is a passionate social activist and the visionary President of Help & Protection Organization, based in Kolkata, West Bengal. With a heart dedicated to the welfare of animals and underprivileged communities, she leads one of Kolkata’s most trusted rescue and social support initiatives, offering compassion-driven services to people and animals alike.
An accomplished academic, Dr. Seal holds a Ph.D. in Computer Applications from Sri Satya Sai University of Technology and Medical Sciences. She also completed her Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) and Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA) from the prestigious Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.
Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Dr. Seal has been recognized for her impactful contributions to society. In 2025, she received the Inspiration Award from HERStory Times, honoring her as a changemaker and role model for women in India. Her journey has been featured in the HERStory Times Interview Series, where she shared her mission, challenges, and unwavering dedication to social upliftment.
